Surprise!

As you know, it was Rox's 18th birthday on Thursday. The poor girl had to work on the actual day, but we organised a family dinner at a local restaurant for her on Thursday evening and she honestly believed that, that was the sum total of her birthday celebrations.....

In her words, she was "very bleak" that she would not get to celebrate with her friends. Little did she know that for the last couple of weeks her best friend (thanks Carl!) and Grant and I had been organising a surprise party for her and her friends at an Italian restaurant.
How we managed to keep it a secret I will never know, but we did and she was SURPRISED!

What made it even more special was that she passed her driver's licence (you have to be 18 to get your licence in South Africa) that morning, so there was even more reason to celebrate. By all accounts she had a wonderful time. I love it when a plan comes together ;-)
