According to this report, 40 families are attacked in their homes by robbers every day. There has been a sharp increase in armed robberies in homes in South Africa, with the sharpest increase in Kwa-Zulu Natal. And I wonder why I am suffering from insomnia???

very scary stuff Gill ... I suffer from insomnia too whenever I read things like this - close to home and worse when my husband is not home with me.

Yeah, I wonder that sometimes too. Living in this country tends to keep you awake!
Hmmm, the only time I have serious insomnia is when I visit my brother & father in SA - I lie awake all night imagining what every little sound could be. I'm sure if I stayed long-term I would readjust my levels of terror and be able to sleep again (I managed it for 30 years, didn't I!!) but from my current expat perspective it just seems like a very hard way to live your life...
