They're married!

The wedding was beautiful!  A dream come true.

Paula and Calvin got married on the 16th of March 2019 at Haycroft in the KZN Midlands.  The venue was absolutely lovely - they were wanting a country vibe, but not too rustic and that's exactly what Haycroft was.  We had some concerns about the weather - Paula and Cal particularly wanted to get married in the forest, and for a while there it looked as though the ceremony might end up having to happen in the chapel, but fortunately the weather held and they got their forest wedding!  So so special!

Both families and some special friends spent a couple of days pre-wedding at the venue, which was lovely, we all relaxed and had some fun, sociable times together and I think that made the wedding even more special.

Everything came together exactly as we had hoped.  The venue was exactly right for the wedding Paula and Cal had in mind. Our bride, groom and attendants looked fantastic.  The little flower-girls and page-boys were edibly cute.  The ceremony was so very special.  The flowers were absolutely stunning!  Our incredibly talented photographers - who are in fact family friends - put us completely at ease.  The hair and make-up ladies were relaxed and fun to be around.  And our fantastic music man Chris was on form and had us all on our feet all evening.  We couldn't have asked for better!

Such a sweet moment!  Before the wedding, Cal came up to the house where the girls got dressed, he didn't see his bride before the ceremony, but he did get to hold her hand!

Our Bride-to-be had a Kitchen Tea...and a Hen's Night

We had a lovely Kitchen Tea for Paula at the Blue Zoo restaurant at Mitchell Park.  She genuinely didn't know about it until we got there.... took a whole lot of outright lies and subterfuge on my part I tell ya!

And then, a week later, we had a Hen's Night for her at Mythos in Umhlanga - great fun was had by all!
